DGS May Luncheon

Title:    “Drilling into Hydraulic Fracturing and Shale Gas Development: A Texas and Federal Environmental Law Perspective”

Abstract:  Along with the expansion of hydraulic fracturing, there has been increasing concerns about its potential impacts on drinking water resources, public health, and environmental impacts in the vicinity of these facilities.  The presentation will discuss the key federal and Texas legislation affecting hydraulic fracturing industry.  In addition, the presentation will discuss recent Texas regulatory initiatives as well as litigation related to hydraulic fracturing operations.
